Judging

The Publican Awards judging process remains one of the most comprehensive, rigorous and reputable in the industry – ensuring that the awards remain the most respected in the pub trade. Our goal is to provide entrants with a realistic audit on their business, as well as guaranteeing that all awards are given fairly and deservedly.

Stage One: The Initial Entry

Stage One is an initial entry where companies can choose their category and provide us with facts and figures to support their application. All successful entrants will be shortlisted, proceeding onto stage two.

Stage Two: Head Office Site Visit

Stage Two provides you with a chance to really sell your company and impress one of our judges. The Head Judge from your chosen category will pay a visit to your company. This is your opportunity to introduce them to key people in your business and give them a tour of some of your operations to really bring your business to life and showcase what makes you a winner.

Stage Three: Judgement Day!

And finally, our Panel Judging day - for this year it will continue to be hosted remotely. We will ask each finalist company to send their key representatives for quizzing on what they think makes their company tick. The interviews will continue as a ‘Dragons Den’ style grilling and will see each finalist put under the spotlight of a panel of judges made up of key industry experts and representatives from The Morning Advertiser, this will still be the toughest stage of the process.
